In an effort to extend our presence in the Tri-State Area in April 2024, the Plei App officially debuted in our 24th region, New Jersey! ☀️ We began offering pickup games in the Garden State by first partnering with a pair of veteran facilities: All Nations Recreation Center and the New Jersey Stallions Academy. This time, we’ve joined forces with another local facility known as Superdome Sports. 🤝
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Boasting both indoor and outdoor spaces. Superdome Sports in Waldwick, New Jersey is second to none when it comes to offering the largest, most versatile and most exciting training environments in the region. 🗺️
The Superdome is where the vast majority of the action goes down. Featuring 80-foot ceiling heights with no columns or walls, this climate-controlled dome houses a huge artificial turf field space divided into a total of four (4) pitches. All equally-sized, each field can accommodate games as small as 6v6 but are much more ideal for 8v8. 👌
Versatility is Superdome Sports’ middle name: the nets that separate the fields can be lifted to allow for even larger footy encounters. If you want to get a better idea of how much space is in the dome, just know that the four fields here combine to be larger than a full American football field. 😳
As a result, expect more than just the beautiful game being played here. Lacrosse, flag football, ultimate frisbee and field hockey are just a few sports that are accommodated in the Superdome. 🥍🏈🏑
And guess what? The same goes for outdoors. 🏞️
Although not quite as spacious as the one indoors, Superdome Sports also has an outdoor turf field space located adjacent to the indoor facility. You’ll find two (2) separate fields here, both sized for 6v6 to 8v8 like the ones inside. Similarly enough, both of these fields can be combined to then create one large pitch for 9v9 or 10v10. 🙌
Now that we’ve covered the athletic spaces at Superdome Sports Waldwick, let’s dive into other key amenities that you might be interested in. ⏬
We mentioned earlier that some of the best programming for multiple sports can be found at this facility, and we weren’t lying. Programs offered include team training, youth sessions, summer/holiday clinics, adult & youth soccer leagues and open play. 🗓️
With a Superdome this large, plenty of programming is the least you’d expect this facility to offer. Luckily, they do even more, going as far as routinely hosting college combines & showcases as well as opening up their spaces for birthday parties, fundraisers and other special events. 🥳
Top it all off with a concessions area known as the Energy Zone Cafe (with free WiFi) and a full and modern arcade room, and you’ve got a truly formidable sports venue at your disposal. 😎
