Back in April 2022, the Plei App expanded into a new market: Denver, Colorado! 🏔️ Introducing our latest partnership in the Mile High City: Soccer City Aurora! As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

In June of 2021, Soccer City Aurora, a world-class facility for all ages and skill levels, opened to the public after about a year of construction. Featuring a total of four outdoor (4) fields, two (2) for 9v9 play and two (2) for 5v5, this venue is suitable for a variety of purposes. 💯
It’s safe to say that those purposes are being fulfilled on a daily basis. 👌
Soccer City hosts various leagues and programs for both kids and adults, making it an ideal location to play at if you’re a local baller anywhere in the Denver area. Kids programs range from summer camps & clinics to after school training sessions. 👶
Adults on the other hand can take part in league play (multiple divisions offered), field rentals and pickup/drop in play. Youth players can also get involved in the pickup action! 🙌
The fields are fully equipped with premium turf and stadium-quality lighting, and their configurations can be modified to accommodate more or less players, with extra nets available to satisfy these changes. 🥅
Parking outside is easy as Soccer City has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of spots available. 🚗 Once you park your car, your first stop will be the full-fledged clubhouse located to the left of the 5v5 fields. Here you’ll find plenty of amenities to help to create the most comfortable experience for all guests that walk through their doors. 🚪
One of those most convenient amenities has to be the changing rooms available inside. So make sure to pack an extra bag in case you want to change before or after playing! 👕
The clubhouse makes a great place to chill and catch a vibe with friends and family. Inside, you’ll find plenty of seating areas for your convenience, and even foosball tables! And if you get hungry or thirsty, there’s a snack bar on-site so you can satisfy those desires. 😋
If you’d rather chill outside, a patio area is located immediately to the right of the clubhouse, before the 5v5 fields. 😎
Throughout the year, you can catch special events hosted directly by Soccer City Aurora. Among these events include tournaments, showcases, fundraisers and more. All of these events are for the purpose of bringing together Denver’s soccer families in a community-driven environment and promote accessibility to the beautiful game for all. ❤️
Now for a little bit of background.
Soccer City Aurora, like we mentioned at the beginning, first began as nothing more than a system of soccer programming provided to schools across the Metro Denver area. This started in fall of 2012 when a group of committed professionals working with the Colorado Rapid Youth Soccer Club decided to push a necessary cause. 👍
The program was an instant hit, thanks in part to key partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and the Colorado Health Foundation. With every passing year, the program kept expanding, eventually being offered to 30 schools from just nine when it first began. 🏫
Their reputation kept growing, and in 2020, extra support sent their way allowed them to officially begin construction of a full-fledged soccer complex in the city of Aurora. The goal was to provide the community with a facility that not only provided the means for locals to come out and play the beautiful game, but for it to also be a community hub and a home base for their brand new non-profit organization. 🏠
This non-profit, the Colorado Soccer Foundation, officially opened up shop in the summer of 2021, and have since been serving thousands of Colorado kids with affordable soccer programs. 😁
Their long-time goal? To make the beautiful game accessible to anyone and everyone who wants to play. Their means of making this happen? Offering fields and spaces 7 days a week with plenty of ways and opportunities to jump into the action. 🔥
