Where it all began! Miami is where the Plei App calls home. Since partnering with our first facility, we have now expanded to over 20 facilities across Miami-Dade County. 😎 Since October 2018, we have been hosting pickup games at Soccer Cage Downtown, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many more years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
We’ve mentioned it plenty of times before in previous blogs covering the various Miami facilities that we’re partnered with: there’s nothing better than playing the beautiful game with a city backdrop.
That’s where Soccer Cage Downtown comes in. Located just a couple of miles from iconic locations like Miami-Dade Arena and the Wynwood Walls, this dual-field venue has been operating for over 10 years and is still going strong. The two (2) fields are each suited for 5v5 or 6v6 play and feature high-quality turf so you don’t have to worry about tripping over holes or ugly patches of grass.
The highlight of this facility, like most places that are located within a downtown big city setting, is the views that you’ll get while playing the game we all love. That being said, we highly recommend playing here at night, so that you can witness the high-rise Brickell buildings that will inevitably be lit up a couple miles to the south.
The two fields here at Soccer Cage Downtown can also be combined to accommodate bigger parties so that 7v7 or 8v8 games could be played.

A concession stand is also conveniently available on-site (you’ll see it on your right upon entering the facility) that sells snacks and drinks. You can enjoy your food and beverages at the many seats and tables that are available in this space. There are also water fountains if you don’t have some cash ready to buy a bottle.
Depending on the weather, tents may also be available for use! Parking is also available in this area. If it gets full (which it probably will), you can park in any of the available street spots via PayByPhone.
Leagues, camps and other programs happen year-round at Soccer Cage Downtown. Most notably, the Juventus Academy of Miami plays here, which you can learn more about through their Instagram. ⚫⚪
