As our 19th market and third new region of the year, the Plei App officially expanded to Phoenix, Arizona in February 2024. 🏜️ The next facility that we have partnered with in the Valley of the Sun is Phoenix Sports Centre, an indoor soccer venue in Northwest Phoenix. 📍
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Family-owned since 1985, Phoenix Sports Centre is Northwest Phoenix’s prime location for all things indoor footy. 🏠
We’ll explain why. 👇
First things first, the facility boasts a full-regulation size pitch, which can host games as small as 5v5 and as large as 8v8. You’ll notice a couple things that stand out about the field area: a scoreboard to keep track of those extra-competitive games, and the exclusion of any sort of touchline, which means non-stop, futsal-esque action where the ball doesn’t go out and you can freely play off the wall. 🧱
The field is home to a variety of activities and programming, all locally hosted by Phoenix Sports Centre. 🏆
Their main event is league play, as they offer both recreational and competitive-level tournaments. The following divisions are offered:
All league matches are overseen by referees, which helps to create a professional atmosphere. 🧑⚖️
You wouldn’t be doing much to escape the Arizona high temperatures without some sort of air-conditioning. Thankfully, Phoenix Sports Centre has exactly that thanks to an industrial air-conditioning system that circulates plenty of cool air throughout the entirety of the facility. ❄️
The cherry on top at this facility is the addition of a full-fledged snack bar & lounge area, where you can enjoy a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as delicious food options. 😋
Once you’ve made your purchase, you have the choice of either relaxing at the lounge or the upstairs deck to watch the ongoing action at the turf field. 👀
