After two years of success in Los Angeles, the Plei App made the executive decision to continue its takeover of the California pickup soccer scene. We entered none other than the state’s capital of Sacramento in early April 2024, hence becoming our 21st all-time market and our fifth of the year. 🌳 A partnership with leading 5-a-side chain facility Le Five Indoor Soccer kickstarted our efforts to further expand our presence on the West Coast. 📍
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
We’re not exactly sure why they would choose Sacramento of all places to continue the LE FIVE brand, but we’re certainly not complaining.
Critically-acclaimed in their home country, this 5-a-side pickup soccer chain already runs a grand total of 22 venues throughout France. It would be an understatement to say that they essentially dominate the pickup soccer scene there.
Now, the goal is to do the same on the West Coast.
The concept of LE FIVE provides players of all ages and backgrounds with easily accessible, top-notch turf fields. Each facility is also equipped with attractive social spaces, sports bars and other amenities so that guests can also sit back, relax and have a good time.
This unique blend of sporting spaces combined with an inviting setting and ambience similar to that of a restaurant, club or lounge is precisely the vision that Jean-David Tartour and Jerome Meary, the creators of LE FIVE, sought to bring to the Golden State.
They kickstarted their California dream by opening an initial location in West Sacramento in July 2019.
After a number of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, LE FIVE finally opened the doors of a second facility in Rancho Cordova in late 2020.

We say that for one reason and one good reason only: because there are a whopping total of ten (10) fields at this location, which is actually one more than the nine (9) found at West Sacramento. 👀
Makes you realize that the nickname is nothing more than age-related, because in terms of how much pickup soccer can be accommodated at once, Rancho Cordova comes in on top. 🔝
LE FIVE is of course all about all things 5-a-side, and that’s exactly what you’ll be playing on these pitches. Each one is equipped with next-generation turf that features a thick pad to reduce impact on the body, as well as board enclosures, which means that you’ll be able to do as many give-and-go’s off the wall as you please. 😎
A huge plus is that the turf features no infill, so you can avoid the danger of those toxic rubber pellets. 💀
On top of that, regular cleats are allowed. 👟
With the possibility of up to ten matches happening all at once, that’s up to 100 players balling out - and sweating away, of course. Thankfully, LE FIVE Rancho Cordova has just the solution to this; full-fledged locker rooms equipped with showers for the convenience of all their guests. 🚿
One final amenity is the one that makes the LE FIVE brand what it is: a Sports Bar & Lounge for players, spectators and visitors alike to enjoy a selection of food and drinks while sitting back and relaxing, socializing or catching some live matches on their TVs. 📺
Like their West Sacramento facility, the Sports Bar here offers a formidable menu of solid foods including chicken strips, mini tacos and french fries. As far as beverages go, you can look forward to energy & sports drinks, soda, juice and beer options. 🍻
After all, LE FIVE is more than just a soccer experience, The beautiful game is celebrated and enjoyed off the field just as much as on it, and there’s no better place to experience this dynamic than at Rancho Cordova. ❤️🔥
