Recently, the Plei App expanded into our 10th City, Los Angeles, California 🌴 . Another one of the pickup facilities that we have partnered with is LAB FIVE. They currently run two different locations: one in Pacoima and a brand new venue in Gardena, which opened this past October! We will be launching exclusively in Gardena for the time being, so keep reading to learn more about all things LAB FIVE before you head out to play! 👇
This facility is fresh out of the lab, literally. LAB FIVE in Gardena, California is the newest soccer venue on the block, but by no means are they rookies. Like we mentioned before, they have already been running their Pacoima location, since 2019 to be exact, and only just opened up shop in Gardena last October. If anything, they’re looking to really establish themselves in the Los Angeles pickup scene now with three years of service under their belt.
You may be asking, “what’s all the hype about?” Well, LAB FIVE in Gardena is equipped with a total of seven state-of-the-art turf fields for 5-a-side and offers everything from leagues, tournaments, camps and clinics to special events year-round, the ability to rent a field or host an event, a food and drink menu AND an entire sector dedicated to E-sports. What more could one ask for?
The fields feature the latest non-infill turf technology, which you can really see for yourself in these beautiful photos.
This venue, only 12 miles south of downtown LA, also boasts a full-fledged lounge/clubhouse area, where players and guests alike and socialize, grab snacks and drinks, or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere!
It’s definitely a first to see a pickup soccer facility also double as an esports center, but that’s exactly what LAB FIVE have done. You can watch live esports games on a giant screen in a cozy lounge area with a welcoming staff working to provide the best possible experience. League Of Legends, Fortnite, FIFA and Clash of Clans are all played at LAB FIVE!
Overall, the goal of LAB FIVE is to promote inclusivity, diversity and a healthy community where all individuals get a chance to shine. They want to increase the number of five-a-side soccer players globally, doing so by combining the newest technologies with the love of the beautiful game, all while making their facilities accessible and friendly for all ages.
