Launched in early 2019, the unofficial Spring Break capital of the world, Broward County, FL đïž, made its way into the Plei App as an extension of our home Miami-Dade region. As of March 2023, we are partnered with seven soccer facilities throughout Broward, one of those being Komodo Training Center! Our first game there was played on February 28, 2020. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. đŹ
Is it a coincidence that the colors on the logo are red, black and white like the team he currently plays for, AC Milan? We think not.Â
Komodo Training Center is unique for the exact reason we just laid out: this beautiful venue that offers one (1) 4v4/5v5 turf soccer field that is painted blood red also doubles as a place to learn Taekwon-Do, MMA, kickboxing and several other forms of martial arts.Â
Soccer was actually their latest addition to the training center, originally only offering martial arts. They officially opened their red field back in 2019.
If youâve ever dreamed of scoring worldies in the style of Zlatan, Wayne Rooney, Olivier Giroud and Cristiano Ronaldo, this family-owned facility may be the place for you. đ
Komodo is located in Sunrise, FL, which is not far from Tamarac. Youâll find them inside the University West plaza where they are the highlight business. Parking is plentiful here and rarely fills up, so you can check that off your list of possible concerns.
You can also check off food and drink from your list, as Komodo offers plenty of snack and beverage options in case you get hungry or thirsty during your visit,Â
This fully air-conditioned indoor facility has plenty to offer besides soccer. Like we already mentioned, they specialize in martial arts. For adults, they offer kickboxing, which can be used for fitness, self-defense or sporting purposes. Youâll learn how to combine punches, knees, headbutts and kicks to disarm an opponent or attacker. This program (which offers a 7-day free trial) goes hand in hand with MMA.
If youâre looking to stay fit, then the fitness bootcamp may be for you. Clients learn to work hard, providing an opportunity for weight loss if thatâs your goal. Provided trainers will also be there to correct your workout form, demonstrating new exercises, all while keeping you motivated and getting to know you through the entire process.
Meanwhile, Taekwon-Do is the highlight program here. Available for kids, teens and adults, this variation of martial arts will teach you important life lessons and etiquette, such as showing courtesy to others, both inside and outside of Komodo. Youâll also learn to gain control over your thoughts and actions, as well as maintaining a pure mind and body at all times, no matter how difficult the circumstance.
As for soccer, Komodo offers various programs for kids and field rentals for groups. And of course, Plei App games happen here throughout the week.
