Where it all began! Miami is where the Plei App calls home. Since partnering with our first facility, we have now expanded to over 20 facilities across Miami-Dade County. 😎 Since March 2021, we have been hosting pickup games at Futbol Fever, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many more years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Futbol Fever is all about keeping it lowkey, but somehow when you walk in you still feel something of a radiant vibe. Their color palette essentially consists of the color black and only the color black, but when you mix that with intentional dim lighting, neon signs, beige floorboarding and a hint of white outlining, the result is an exciting, modern take on what is still just a place to play the beautiful game at the end of the day.
Think of dark mode for your phone or computer (if you still use light mode, feel free to skip this part, you can’t relate to us 😤). Now apply that same thinking in terms of how satisfying it is to an indoor soccer facility. That’s what Futbol Fever is; a dark, yet eye-popping innovative experience, designed to provide the most daring Miami ballers with a one of a kind experience they will never forget.
This venue, located in West Kendall and just north of Tamiami Airport (near the turnpike), features a singular all-black turf field that is best for 5v5 and 6v6 fast-paced games. To maintain the beauty and quality of this uniquely-painted grass, keep in mind that cleats are not allowed; only turf and indoor shoes. If you happen to forget, Futbol Fever goes as far as giving players the option to loan boots for free. How about that for top of the line customer service?
All rental games at Futbol Fever are recorded in 4K and sent to your group at no extra charge, so make sure they don’t catch you in 4K getting nutmegged by one of your friends or family members. That’s sure to be replayed for years to come.
The facility is fully air-conditioned, so rest assured that you’ll be feeling extra cozy while taking in the dark aesthetic. Some other amenities include a spacious lobby area, a video game lounge where you can challenge your friends to FIFA matches, and ample parking. Whether you’re just catching a pickup game or renting out the venue, you’ll have access to a high-end sound system so you can play the soundtrack to your footy masterclass. What can get better than pairing your favorite songs with already stunning surroundings?
The social area has a vibe to it, too. Grab yourself something to eat or sip on and take a seat at one of their restaurant-style seating areas featuring blacked-out bar chairs and tables topped with pleasant decor plants. While you’re here, why not catch whatever big game or event is showing on the flat screen TVs?
And if your interest stretchest beyond just soccer and entertainment, feel free to yoga Saturdays in the morning.
If you choose to host a birthday party or any other private event here, here’s what Futbol Fever will provide for you. First and foremost, your entire group will gain exclusive access to every corner of the facility for the duration of your gathering. A coach/party assistant will be at your disposal for 1-2 hours, depending on the package you choose. You’ll also be able to connect to the venue’s sound system. so make sure to hand over this privilege to the person with the best party playlist.
Moreover, four (4) high top tables with seating for a total of 16 people will be provided, as well as five (5) 6ft tables and 30 white padded chairs. Finally, you’ll also get a single large cooler to store whatever refreshments or cold food items you decide to bring. Two different youth training and development services are also available at Futbol Fever, thanks to their partnership with Twelfth Miami. For kids ages 3-9, there’s the Future Stars program, which provides a no-pressure environment with a weekly class schedule that lasts for about two months. Meanwhile, the Beginner Academy, which runs during the same timeframe, is for ages 10+, and will teach young ballers the fundamentals of the technical aspect of soccer. Both programs happen during the winter.
