Launched in early 2019, the unofficial Spring Break capital of the world, Broward County, FL, made its way into the Plei App as an extension of our home Miami-Dade region. 🏖️ As of November 2023, we are partnered with nine soccer facilities throughout Broward, one of those being Dowdy Field!
As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
With small-sided pickup footy being so popular nowadays, it’s become a bit difficult to be able to enjoy the beautiful game in its most true form, that is, outdoors and on a full-size or near full-size field. 😎
Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be difficult anymore. Thanks to a partnership with local youth soccer club Hollywood FC, the Plei App is able to host pickup games at Dowdy Field, a soccer park featuring a large turf space that can accommodate a variety of game sizes. 🆒
The turf space is split into two sides. The west side of Dowdy Field features an 11v11 field (marked by the white lines), which can be split to make two (2) 7v7 to 9v9 fields, one on the northwest end and the other on the southwest end. 🌿
On the east side of the park, you’ll find two (2) separate 7v7 fields, one on the northeast end and the other on the southeast end. 2️⃣

Dowdy Field is home to - of course - Hollywood FC, but they also host another youth soccer club, Cyclone Soccer Hollywood. 🌀
The park is also a prime location for a variety of organized tournaments, leagues and other footy competitions, which take place throughout the year. 🏆
There’s always something happening at this complex, an outdoor footy paradise for all of Hollywood’s ballers, no matter the age or skill level. 😃
The Plei App first hosted a pickup game at Dowdy Field on February 1, 2024, and we continue to play here today.
