Launched just over a week into 2024, Tampa officially became the 18th market on the Plei App and our 5th region in the Sunshine State of Florida! 🐊 The first facility we partnered with is BT World Cup Soccer Center, a multi-sport complex located in Pinellas Park.
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
We could only be talking about BT World Cup Soccer Center - also known as BT Sports Academy. ⚽
Being one of the largest privately-owned multi-sport complexes in the Tampa Bay Area, we had high expectations for this facility. Luckily, they live up to them fully. 👌
Let’s dive straight into the footy details. 👇
BT Sports Academy boasts a total of four (4) outdoor FIFA-quality artificial turf fields, each suitable for 6v6 and 7v7 games. Check them out in the bird’s eye view photo of the facility above.
Head inside and you’ll be welcomed by even more square feet of sports fun. The facility offers two (2) indoor turf fields, uniquely painted black. These fields are better suited for smaller-sided games of 4v4. ⚫
They can also be used for pickleball! 🆒
Now that we’ve covered the field aspects of BT WC Soccer Center, let’s move onto their other amenities. We have a lot more area to cover… about 7,500 square feet to be exact! 🙌
This special facility is home to a 4,000 sq. ft. athletic performance training center, where athletes of all ages and skill levels can train with state-of-the-art equipment. You can probably ditch your gym membership if you become a regular here, but we won’t force you. 😅
Another 2,000 square feet belongs to the sports recovery, massage and physical therapy rooms located inside. The owners of the facility really care about taking care of their players and guests, and they display that to full capacity with these recovery rooms. ❤️🩹
Finally, a final 1,500 square feet is taken up by BT Sports Academy’s very own sports lounge, of course named the Hat Trick! Fully air-conditioned, the lounge is a great place to relax before or after your pickup game, all while enjoying some food and drinks from the bar and taking in all the ongoing footy action. 😋
TVs are available as well, making it a great location to watch live matches. 📺
BT Sports Academy prides themselves on being the premiere multi-sports training facility in the Tampa Bay Area, and they have made it their mission to make sports training affordable to all. 💰
As a result, look forward to year-round programming, including fitness sessions, adult drop-in pickup soccer, as well as the opportunity for field rentals and birthday parties. 🥳
