Where it all began! Miami is where the Plei App calls home. Since partnering with our first facility, we have now expanded to over 20 facilities across Miami-Dade County 😎. Since August 2022, we have been hosting pickup games at Brickell Soccer & Padel, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
This new venue opened just 7 months ago and has been well-received since opening their doors. The fact that it’s uniquely located in the heart of beautiful Brickell and on the famous 8th Street makes it pretty obvious why Brickell Soccer & Padel is destined for long-term success. That being said, we highly recommend catching a pickup game here at nighttime under the downtown lights, you won’t regret it.
Formally the location of Soccer Cage Brickell, a new name also meant a complete remodeling of an already special place to play the beautiful game. We must admit, the renovations were entirely necessary.
This facility features two 6v6 turf fields, and the previously standing grass was completely removed and replaced with brand-new, high-quality turf that will last for years to come. No more frustrating holes and ugly patches in the grass while trying to show off your skills!
A redesigned social area now features warm string lights that stretch all around the two trees in this space and are connected to the fence across, creating a true Miami-esque ambiance that pairs wonderfully with the already eye-catching views of the highrise buildings.
In this area you can also buy drinks and snacks before or after your pickup game and relax at any of the benches or picnic tables!
You might be wondering at this point, “what about the padel part that’s in the name?” If you don’t know what padel is, it’s a racket sport very similar to tennis but instead played on a smaller, enclosed court. It’s also usually played in doubles rather than one on one. Another unique upgrade to this soccer facility is that it will also soon double as a place to play padel!
The court is currently being built with no estimated time for completion, so stay tuned.
